“A man of Red Vienna” and “A child from Red Vienna”

Robert Kutner review of Gareth Dale biography of Karl Polanyi “A Life on the Left” was featured in the December issue of the New York Review of books as the Man from Red Vienna. By coincidence, an article in the Austrian cultural tabloid the Falter portrayed Kari Polanyi Levitt as the Ein Kind des Roten Wien (a child of Red Vienna).

This drawing was made from a photograph taken at the installation of a plaque at the former residence of the Polanyi family in Vienna, Vorgartenstrasse 203.

  1. Thanks very much Kari for keeping me in the loop.

It would be nice to get together in Montreal once again.
